Micromax Launched an Intel-powered tablet-laptop hybrid PC, Canvas LapTab

Micromax, the second largest Smartphone maker in India has unveiled a device called the Canvas Laptab, it’s like a hybrid between tablet computers and laptops, and has a Dual Boot windows and Android OS. In terms of software configuration, the tablet cum laptop is capable of running two different operating systems, Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and Windows 8.1. You can switch between both operating systems by rebooting the tablet.


The Micromax Canvas LapTab flaunts a 10.1-inch, IPS LCD capacitive touch screen and sports a resolution of 800 x 1,280 pixels. The Intel Celeron processor has a clock speed of 1.46GHz and is backed by the 2GB RAM. In regard of camera, the tablet is accompanied by a 2MP snappers at the front as well as the rear ends, each having a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels. It also packs a 32GB internal memory which can be extended up to 64GB using a microSD card.


On the connectivity front, the tablet is enabled with Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 port, HDMI port and microUSB 2.0 port. The device sips juice from 7400mAh Li-ion battery which claims to provide 20 hours (2G talktime). In retailing and pricing terms, the Micromax Canvas LapTab price in India is Rs.14999 only and now it is available in all leading online shops.
