Volvo Auto India has unveiled the petrol version of the V40 Cross Country. This car has a smart, high-quality cabin and plenty of standard equipment. It comes loaded with bigger alloy-wheels with chunky tyres, body claddings, roof rails, skid plate and blackened rear view mirrors.
The Volvo V40 comes with 40/60 folding rear seats for extra space and is also equipped with all safety features such as like pedestrian detection, auto braking and city safety. Only one variants of the V40 Cross Country is available in India. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 150bhp and 360Nm of torque, with an ARAI fuel efficiency of 16.81kmpl.
In terms of price, the Volvo V40 Cross Country competes with the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and the BMW X1 in India. From the outside it gives resemblance of the Mercedes A-Class, but packs in lot more interior space. The V40 is an excellent option if you are looking for a really safe vehicle or a niche in the luxury cars segment.
